Back in Kuala Lumpar

14/6/11 to 16/6/11
Walked around town a lot, many more smiles than Singapore. Went to a few temples, the botanical gardens, deer park etc. Am loving the Indian food, I'm in a more Indian area of town so lots of good food around. Have only seen 3 women with the full berker on. Off to Mersing to day as I found out there is a total Luna eclipse tonight so heading to the beach in the hopes of a better view.

17/6/11
Well I stuffed up on the total Luna eclipse, it did happen but was 1am to 7am on the 16th I left KL for Mersing at 9am on the 16th duh never mind maybe see it somewhere else another year. Nice place that I got off the ferry, although a bit pricey. Went for a big snorkel/swim in the morning, probably swam over 3km, saw a black tipped reef shark, big turtle. Of course I forgot to where my bandanna so got a burnt head.
Went for a snorkel in the other direction in the afternoon which was good as well, although I didn't see the good big stuff. I have to say don't try this unless you know what the depth and distances are, I swam it in the afternoon so knew I could stand up at any time. I decided to swim to the pub for happy hour that evening, which was great just for the uniqueness of it. Swam back in the dark so got to see the luminous bits on the way back.

18/6/11 to 27/6/11
Moved down to the next bay, half the price and I get a double bed instead of 2 singles. Now everything sort of gets same same ish, walk, swim, eat, swim, walk, play games, sleep, walk, swim, eat, you get the idea. I was planing to head back to the main land and up the coast, but swimming snorkeling etc are just as good here so will stay here till the 27th when I will head back to KL to meet William and get my new phone, which means I will have a camera again.
I found a large Moray Eel about 20m out in the water from my room which was excellent floated around the area for ages watching this little blue fish swim in it's mouth and clean it's teeth, I'm guessing there, but it got a bit deep in it's throat at one point so it couch the little fish back out, but opened it's mouth again soon after to let the little guy back in again.
Got back to Mersing about 12.30 and should have got straight onto a bus, never mind I wanted food so couldn't get a bus till 1800 which meant getting to KL as the last trains went through.

28/6/11
Went for a big walk in the morning out around the twin towers here in KL, happy no planes flew into them well there. It has a lovely park around the bottom with little paddling pool and the biggest kids play area I've seen, although saying that it was all modern with the cannot get hurt springy stuff and all low and plastic to make sure the kids cannot have too much fun.
Have spend the rest of the day, and probably the next few online trying to organise what I'm doing next. This is a tough one I really miss having a bike, Sandy and Murray may have seen me in Turkey in this state. So I'm starting to think bugger the monsoons and go to India anyway, until the guy at the hotel here said foreigners cannot get Indian visas here in KL??? so need to make some inquires, mmm I could get one in Sri Lanka probably mmm. Oh well don't know what I'm doing yet maybe quick trip to Indo for a few weeks, maybe not, maybe a trip to some more islands and some diving, maybe not..... I'll decide at some point soon.
  Enjoy your life.

Don't know why the last bit is missing from the other post

13/6/11
Got dropped off at the bus terminus at about 5am and got on line and book a hostel, had to get a private room to get one that day, then waited for the trains to start up. Check in time was 1pm so left bags at hostel and went to get a power adapter (left mine in Singapore). Once checked in was shower and long over due nap time lol.
 And i even forgot
  Enjoy your life
    I am. hehehe

In Kuala Lumpur

6/6/11
Didn't do much just packed spent as much as I could so I would leave the country with as little Vietnam Dong as possible. Left for the airport a bit early but that was OK as there was free wifi there, when I found it finally.

7/6/11
Arrived at Changi Airport at about 00.10 which meant the trains had finished by the time I had gone through customs etc, not that there was much there one scanner and I guy who waved you towards it or not in my case.
I found the McDonald's at the airport, haven't court up with my other brother Ronald since south Thailand, and found out why Singapore kids are so far ahead when it comes to high school. There was at least 30 high school kids sitting at the McDonald's studying, and it's school holidays at the moment, you have to also realise they are there from about the last train till the first train, and apparently this happens at most 24hr McDonalds in Singapore, definitely not what I expected to see at 2am.
I found the airport exhibition was nice and quiet, although there where a few snorers there as there where probable 20 people sleeping in the area. So I locked my bags to the trolley and the trolley to a rail and slept on the floor till about 7am when I court the train into town.
Mainly spent the rest of the day sleeping and sorting out where I can get the phone sent to. Things are a lot more expensive here, especially beer so may have to give up drinking for a while, mmm we will see how that goes.

8/6/11
Wandered around a bit and immediately noticed that no one smiles here, must be a money thing the more you have the less happy you are, as it is the same in NZ, UK, and Aussie in fact all first world countries I've been to no body smile at you. I did get to talk to some one though a lady who was having her lunch break and she said sorry for Singapore a few time, it turns out other than the helpful people at the airport info desk she is the only one who spoke to me in 4 days.
The Internet has proved to be a pain, it says on the sg@m1.net site that you can get free Internet in the city area, when you register you find out you need a local phone number, but wait it says if you have a foreign phone number you can still register at the airport information desk or at the other end of the train line in some business estate. So off to the airport I go, after a long discussion with customer support (the helpful ladies at the airport where very understanding) I found out that it's all bollocks the best you can get is 4-6 hrs, but it takes and 1hr to 2 to get the train to the airport and back. So back to the hotel which has free Wifi (router) and the network is still not connected to the Internet (it wasn't for 4 days but they did have Wifi (router) turned on so no money back).

9/6/11 till 11/6/11
Went to the movies court buses around town saw lots of people looking sad, even scowling at me if I smiled at them, I've been in Vietnam to long too use to everyone smiling at you and saying hello, even if it is the only English word they know.
Final conclusion on Singapore, the airport is great and should be visited, it has won the best airport in the world title 18yrs in a row. The town is a place you go to shop and spend time in air conditioning, if you go to the movies take a jumper the air con is set to about 16C so I froze.
I'm sorry lady I meet if you read this but that is the best I can say.
Oh on the last night a waiter smiled at me, it was a special moment I will always remember, I shouldn't have spilt some beer on my pants.

12/6/11
Left the hotel early so see if I could get on the lunch time or over night train, which I couldn't, so headed back to Queen St bus depot where the bus leaves for Malaysia, it takes a while by bus, I recommend the train as they have customs and passport control for both countries in the station.
The Singapore side was easy but the Malaysian side was about a 3-4hr queue, very loose use of the word queue, 3,000 people trying to get into 18 rows of passport control. But once through all was sweet free Internet again as soon as off the bus, people smiling, it's nice to be back in the developing world. Also there where bum guns again, man I don't know how I will handle home again, I had to hold on at the movies because there was no bum gun until I got back to the hotel so I could have a shower after, I just feel so dirty if I don't wash it anymore, paper is for long dead Chinese emperors not my bum.
Stayed at the bus stop in Jahor Bahru till midnight when the bus left for Kuala Lumpur.

13/6/11
lol.

Leaving for Singapore tomorrow night

30/5/11 to 5/6/11
Well I'm back from Ha Long which was great, a little touristy but then it is a tourist place. The caves where good and our group was taken to one on Cat Ba Island that not many people go to, infact we where the only people there. Luckly there we left on the saturday morning because it is a place that people from Hanoi go to on the weekend so was getting packed on the friday night, it did mean there was a festiful atmosphere.
I have had some issues tho, I went to the China embassy here in Hanoi and the best visa I can get is a transit (about 36hrs). So I checked with William in HongKong and it is unlikely I would get a decent length there either, I was told I could get what I want in New Zealand which obviously isn't going to happen.
So the basic plan is to head to Singapore where William will send my new phone then head to Malaysia for a while, then Indo, Brunei. Not sure for how long as it is to soon to head to India, this means i'm in a unique possition of having about 3 months to use up before heading over, mmm what to do, I think I will have a holiday lol.
